About ME

I am 31-year-old women currently living in Timaru. I live with my fiancé, 3 boys and have 2 stepdaughters.

I moved to Timaru 4 years ago after being a dairy farmer for 3 years. Prior to dairy farming I was a personal caregiver from the age of 13 to 22 years old in Christchurch and a professional cleaner. I have been a mother for 13 years and been through many challenging times, obstacles and defiantly understand life as a Mum. Whether you be a single mother, married, mixed family or in a new relationship, I know how busy and stressful life can be.

I created Mumsy 4 Hire after realizing from personal experience the shortage in help for mothers in Timaru. Being a mother is full time work, and it’s hard, especially with the price of economy and partners having to return to work earlier, unexpected illnesses, being a new mum, multiple kids, being unable to drive or having to work yourself to keep your family going. Small daily challenges become daunting and hard for mums. We get tired and exhausted, and most women don’t have the option of family or parents being close by to give a helping hand.

I wanted to create a something that was affordable to all families, so more mothers can ask for help. Reducing the stress on mothers and hopefully helping to reduce the number of mothers emotionally and physically struggling. Being there for mothers no matter the situation having no restrictions on who can get help.
